Talking with several experts in the automobile dealership business, we came to conclude that Electric Cars will be the norm for personal transportation by 2020 and public transportation
will embrace electric vehicles by 2030. Electric cars have so many advantages over the current internal combustion ones that it is a no brainer to switch to electric. Many people will opt for transforming their current cars themselves following advice of professionals in books and ebooks, some others will recur to people who do it professionally. The payback is enormous. If you are paying an average of just $40 per week in gasoline for your urban commute car, those same $40.00 should be more than enough for paying for the power consumption that the same car converted to electric will use in 4,000 miles! That is the astounding proportion! No wonder people are krazy about electric cars. Every single user of electric cars I have interviewed said they would Never return to gasoline. Electric cars are Powerful, Comfortable, Quiet, and Common sense!
BG, a Pennsylvania based manufacturer of electric cars has put a very nice "Neighborhood Car" called the C-100. They have a high degree of development and are currently selling with very attractive options at the $17k level. Here is a picture:
Today, electric car owners are benefitting from the dozens of companies which are developing a widespread network of charging stations all over the US and many other countries. Business Centers, Shopping Malls, Office Buildings, Universities, Supermarkets, Hotels, Public parking structures and yards, are installing those stations to bring their image in front of the world to a new level of environmental conciousness. Most of those charging stations are so far, free to be used! Of course they are in the process of keeping them under control so that only electric vehicles owners use them for their cars, and not other appliances. The expectation is that in the near future each user will have a power charging account and will pay by the KWhours used.
