There are literally hundreds of successful DIYs (Do It Yourself-ers) who proudly show their projects in YouTube and EValbum. The DIY spirit is entrenched in the American Culture from the beginning of our lives. We all have enjoyed at some point and time having the opportunity to develop or be a part of a project, whatever the specialty and size. All DIY projects are important, since they represent our conquering of skills and in many cases these have been the essential matter in Electric Vehicle Conversions. New ideas, materials, and approaches to converting our old or new cars and trucks into the efficient, clean, economic, quiet, and powerful unit we want.  Some have done impressive transformations that show their supremacy of electric vehicles over their gasoline or diesel counterparts. I have read stories of people at all ages converting their cars to run on electricity. They will use all kinds and levels of components or kits to achieve this. The investment may not be as relevant as the pride they show of their accomplishments. Most books and manuals that we can find, are exactly the step by step help most of us need in our first project, and the knowledge they convey will help us decide on the different types of conversions.
